Introduction
Welcome to Certificate in Ministry, a first-level course which is an exciting, varied and informative field, and which will provide you with the knowledge you need to grow in your knowledge of God, His word and yourself. This course will be beneficial in your impact of equipping others in the knowledge and work of ministry. Through this field you are offered an opportunity to discuss contentious topics that surround believers and the world today.
Purpose and Intended Outcomes
The purpose of this course is to develop a critical understanding of scripture and the Christian life. This course will serve a purpose of edifying you and equipping you for the work of ministry, to grow in quality, stability and integrity.
By the end of this course you should be able to:
Understand the Bible in order and context
Know the fundamentals of Christian living.
Teach/explain (Oral and Written) the knowledge you have received.
Have read all prescribed material thoroughly .
Make decisions based on scriptural truth.

For the academic year 2023, the Gospel of Jesus Christ School of Theology is transiting from face-to-face to online learning. Since you will be studying remotely you are encouraged to be self-motivated and self-disciplined. You are required to comply with all terms and conditions related to your studies.
Assessment
This course is assessed through 10 assignments. You are required to hand in ALL the tasks on time. All assignments are due at the end of the month. Passing mark is 70%.. Any work which is handed in late without a valid excuse will not be accepted.
If by any means you cannot hand in a hard copy, you are to email your assessment to the Secretary (jcmschooloftheology@gmail.com or thobekazuma@ymail.com) on the due date before 4pm.
Your course lecturer Bishop S Ngidi, will be available for explanation. If you have any queries, he can be consulted during the day from 09h00 - 16h00, he is willing to assist whenever possible.
Payments
All payments are to be made on or before the 25th of the month. Payments can be made to Miss Thobeka Zuma: 0737434331.
Please also note that book orders and delivery are only done once a month, which means if you did not pay on time (the 25th) you will not have a study material for that particular month.

Diploma in Ministry provides the best ministry preparation and at the end of this program, students will be able to integrate Christian principles in critical thinking and decision making. The program prepares the student for further study into the various tracks of our Bachelor Degrees. The Certificate in Ministry is an ideal starting point for students who desire to know God’s Word and need a basic Biblical Foundation for Spirit filled ministry.

3. BACHELOR DEGREE IN THEOLOGY
Students wanting to enter the 60-credit Bachelor Degree in Theology program must have completed a Diploma in Ministry or an equivalent of 60 credit hours.
The bachelor Degree in Theology prepares students either for ordained ministry in a Christian church, Bible College or for a wider engagement in society.

Upon successful completion of the Bachelor Degree in Theology program, the student should be able to :
Explore the Bible in depth and to search for answers to some of the most pressing confusing questions about man’s connection and relationship with God.
Understand the methods of Biblical, historical and systemic theology as a basis.
Search for deeper understanding of the Christian religion and its interpretation of the universe.
Serve in ministry such as a local church or missions and develop abilities and virtues that will prepare them for their calling and career.
Provide an in-depth Biblical foundation to supply the values, knowledge and skills needed to effectively serve in church ministry.
Engage in the systemic study of the Scripture and theology while being exposed to current theoretical knowledge in vital areas of ministry.
